Nothing I scanned was in the library.

This had such potential, and was exactly what I was looking for. I had already purchased a "Whats in My Freezer" and "Whats in My Pantry" app, but was wishing those had a barcode scanner. I downloaded the lite version to try this out, and tried scanning the first three food items I picked up...none of them were in the library. Now, it did give me the option to add items to the library, but then what is the point of paying $6 extra for a barcode scanner, if you still have to enter all the information. Sad, because as I mentioned, this had such great potential...

No Direct Printing

Ive tried scanning a few items and was surprised that Maxwell House coffee would not scan while some generic brands did scan. Im not comfortable dragging my I-pad to the store and prefer a printed list. It appears the only way to get a printed list is to e-mail the list to myself. This is better than other similar apps, but not what I want from an food inventory app.

Fantastic App & Customer Support

I have had this app for more than a year. I love it! I have a large family and this app makes it very easy to keep track of our food supplies & the pantry as well as many other things. This app keeps track of expiration dates, quantity, item location, stores I purchase at and many other things. I never have to waste food thats expired the app gives me warning of whats about to expire so I can include those items in our weekly meal plans. I just recently learned that I can include other items beside food. Now im using this app to keep track of our medications & thinking of other things! SUPER Handy!! You can sync your items to all your devices so the list is always with you. Adding and editing is also a breeze!!!! **Super Customer service!!** This past week I bought a new IPad mini. I was attempting transfer all our items to the new tablet when I ran into trouble. I emailed support and they were not only quick at replying to my emails (with-in 12 hours) they personally called & Texted me to help walk me through the steps needed to correct my issues. THAT is customer service. I HIGHLY recommend this app. You will not be disappointed.

Not at all user friendly

Ive only been using the app a couple hours and have spent most of that time on their support site, trying to figure out how to use it, what is meant by certain abbreviations or how something can be modified. You cant even delete items without jumping through a bunch of hoops that Ive yet to figure out. A pantry app -- ANY app, for that matter -- is supposed to make your life easier, not require you to take a class in order to use it. I will definitely be trying a different app thats more intuitive.

You can only store up to 10 items then you have to buy the app.

Dont waste your time!

Avoid this app. It is a waste of time like you wouldnt believe. Even if you manage to get a good flow going scanning barcode after barcode, youll hit a brick wall soon as you realize you can only put 10 items in your inventory. Is this even possibly useful?! What were they thinking? Probably that Id get frustrated enough after wasting all that time just setting up those 10 items that Id buy the $8 pro version. Well they thought wrong. So heres your first review: my advice is to avoid this app and all others made by this company. What a waste of time!

Buggy

Just downloaded because I want to buy the full version but its quite buggy. 1) I cant delete an item from my list 2) updating inventory number does not always add item to my list of its below the minimum threshold like it supposed to. 3) removed all items from my cart and the cart badge still says 1 item in cart. Still finding bugs one by one. Had high hopes for this.

Great inventory tool!!

I absolutely love this app! I purchased the lite version first and then upgraded to the full app because it has everything I need to keep track of whats in (or not in) my pantry. I love all of the ways you can sort and organize your items, especially with the most recent update. Something I would like to see added to this app is a "date added" for each item. This would be helpful if you have no expiration date on an item but would like to know how long you have had it in your pantry. If you could add something like that I would be even more in love with this app!! :)

Good app and customer support

This review is for the full version. I have been using this app for a while now and have a database of almost a thousand food items. I really like the database function because once an item has been scanned and saved, that item will be added to your database with the details that you provide it. This is a great time saver b/c if you happen to scan that same barcode # again, the app will retrieve the food item from your personal database along with all of your saved details (e.g. food description information, picture, calorie info, servings per container, location, etc). The sync function is also very useful. With sync, you can update the inventory list on all your devices as long as your device is connected to the internet. As another reviewer mentioned, you are able to log the same item at different locations and the app keeps track of the number at each location, which is also a nice function. The customer support is great. I always receive a quick and thorough response every time I contact them. If you’re experiencing problems with the app, I would highly encourage you to contact support

Free app w a 10limit free use

This app would be amazing if it allowed more then 10items while it is free. Unfortunately I have more then 10 items in my pantry to organize and am not willing to pay for this app when there r others that are free or only cost 99cents

Not user friendly

Too many data entry fields required for a single scanned item.

Outstanding app and support

I have tried many of the apps for organizing our pantry that are available on the AppStore. Many claim to make the process simple, but this app is the only one that delivers. In addition to being a great product, the developer provides outstanding customer service! When I originally downloaded the Lite version of the app to try it out, I didnt realize that by upgrading via in-app purchase would not allow my wife to download the Pro version of the app on her iPhone or iPad via Family Sharing. I emailed customer support and received an extremely prompt response from the developer himself. He immediately resolved the situation by providing me a code to download the Pro version of the app on my wifes account so we could both use it and sync. This response demonstrated a commitment to customer service and a personal interest by the developer. If you are looking for a great product that is backed by outstanding customer service, then this the app for you!

Poor database quality

Out of 10 scanned items I needed to enter the details for half. Also, there didnt appear to be a way to denote quantity at a fractional level -- like if I scan a 5lb bag of flour, how would I manage knowing whether there is 15 cups left in the bag versus 2?

Great tool

I got this app to keep track of our food storage. I soon upgraded to the full version. This app keeps track of anything you want. Besides food I keep track of paper, and medical supplies. I like how you can organize by item. I love that I can keep track of what has or will soon expire. The cart helps me to know when I need to get more. I have had the app crash when Ive done a lot of adding or subtracting of items but it opens right up again. The developer is great to work with. He is open to suggestions and is always working to make it better. Great support if you are struggling with something. Like that you can add tags, item groups, stores, almost anything to suit your needs. The biggest problem is making sure everyone scans out the food they use. Having it on multiple devices helps or have a place for others to leave the packaging for you to scan. I would highly recommend the full version of this app.

Good app

I find this app really good. I upgraded because the lite version only lets you put ten items in even though the upgrade is kind of expensive. I gave it four stars because the scanner only works half of the time and sometimes guesses the numbers wrong. It has a feature to put in the upcs as well and that is good. I just downloaded it so havent used all the features, but it looks promising.

Cart doesnt update properly

With only 10 items available in the Lite version I was afraid I wouldnt be able to get a good feel for the app. Turns out I only needed one item and five minutes of my time to discover that, while an interesting idea in theory, the app doesnt actually work. I was excited about the multiple sorting options but the benefit gets lost with the clunky interface. With the time it would take to manage the number of items going in and out of our pantry Im afraid I would starve to death because there wouldnt be any time left to shop for, cook, AND eat the food. Deleting.

Recent versions very buggy

This app has become very unstable. It used to work well, but now its barely usable.

Good but seems a bit buggy

I really like this app, but havent been using it for very long yet. Like that you can scan bar codes to add items. When the bar code is not recognized it will add it to the database when you enter it into your pantry list. I would like to be able to print a simple item list of what is in each location. Im hoping there are more updates and improvements coming soon. Still havent used the sync option yet.

Lite version allows only 10 items.

The app is great until you realize the lite version allows only 10 items. I love I can enter different expiration dates for the same product, allows you to customize the quantity you must have in stock at all times (if this applies to you or not). You can also add new category labels if they dont already exist, found to be true with toiletries and such. Am I going to upgrade? Maybe..maybe not $8 is a lot, but maybe not much for peace of mind.

Not supported -not home

I was hoping for this app as it was exactly what I wanted for my family. After paying for the upgrade and putting in inventory, we find the server is not working and no one has responded to support emails since October.
